Congo BioMed Accepting Volunteers both in Los Angeles and Kinshasa
Congo BioMed just recently had our first successful volunteer in Kinshasa. Vikram Sasi, recently graduated from Washington University, spent 6 weeks volunteering in Kinshasa helping us get our programs started. We welcome applications from volunteers who would like to volunteer their time working on Congo BioMed projects in DRC or helping us set up our infrastructure and coordinating activities in our Los Angeles office.
At this time, we cannot offer financial support for travel or lodging in DRC, however our research and program infrastructure will take care of setting up all details, organizing visas, finding lodging, etc. Volunteers in 2009 -2010 will be working with local Congolese staff to set up infrastructure for the Picturing Health project and setting up a scholarship program to encourage village health professionals to document important health problems in their communities.
